Artistic Impressions: I don't like the way I write in chinese characters.Perspectives: Ooookay, this is what this panel's supposed to mean.
The little comment in chinese made by Jorghnassen reads "I love you..." a little extreme, no? ... But the significance is that although Ms C has been "assimilated" by the general North American culture, Jorghnassen has been learning things about chinese language. No one says he has been "assimilated..." The parallel is what should be pointed out, hence Ms C could not truly be considered "assimilated."
